One high school teacher in Dallas and his students have given a new video treatment to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ hit single “Uptown Funk.”
The clip, which has racked up nearly 200,000 views on YouTube as of this morning (Jan. 27) shows theater arts teacher Scott Pankey leading a crew of his students through a choreographed one-take dance routine in the halls of A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School.

“I told them, ‘I am not a dancer, but I’d love to do this and go on this journey with you, and we can all learn from it and have a good time,’” Pankey told the Dallas Morning News. “And they were all on board.”
The Dallas Morning News reports the video was shot by student council VP Bryan Urraca and senior class president Johan Cruz and was edited by Jonathan Vega.
